It’s been a long time since I posted anything here. Most of my regular posting mojo is going on over at the bliss blog. I still drop by squoogy nearly every day for my links, but there hasn’t been much to report. Things are great here, chugging along, lots of personal development, dreaded summer has arrived, praying a lot, cleaning a lot, we shaved Misha and he looks like a completely different cat. My one year anniversary of getting my graduate degree passed. That was exhilarating and a little traumatizing. Cut the crap out of my finger two days ago. I really hate blood.

So yeah. Not a whole lot to report, just thought I’d check in.

San Francisco has been lovely. We got to do a lot of the touristy things we’ve never done here, ate some wonderful food, had fun with some wonderful friends, and stayed at a lovely hotel.

This morning we’re going to go eat dim sum in China town and then head to the airport. This vacation has been a perfect length for us–long enough to feel like we had time to do what we wanted and have an actual break and short enough where homesickness hasn’t really had a chance to set in. We do miss the little fluffies terribly though (and I definitely miss Mr. Happy Bed) so we’re excited about going home.

Well the comments are gone.  Long live the comments.  But I upgraded the blog and it’s ok so that’s good.  Time to make new comments people!!

So I’ve officially lost my interest in the internet. Well that’s not actually true–I still find the internet very interesting. What I haven’t found compelling is reading the internet. That’s why there’s been another dry spell here. I’m going to try and pull myself out of it forthwith because I actually need to be reading the internet for what I’m studying, and for that all important sense of connection with other people who are not related to school.

I’ve been getting an increasing rate of comment spam over the past couple of weeks. At first it was one or three comments where the spammers were telling me how much they loved my blog and how they were going to come back and then they linked to some poor shmoe’s site to make it look legitimate, but really they were evil spammers. Then it was five or six. Then it was ten. This morning it was fifty four.

So I’ve decided to add the latest SpamKarma plugin. I’m in the “we’ll see how it works” phase, so if any of your comments get eaten, let me know. It’s possible that they’ll go to moderation so give it a day or so.

I’m in full-time training for a part-time job all week so there will be little or no blog activity unless my blogmates choose to participate in the blogging process. MidTerms are this week so that’s why there’s been so much radio silence.

There’s that and planning for the Treis de Mayo party and upcoming visit of the heart and soul of the squoogy gang: Rita, Mark the Bowler, and Natasha (YAAAAAAAY!!).

Hopefully things will resume somewhat normally after Wednesday afternoon (MidTerm presentation for Noesis).
