Merry Christmas!

I wish you all were here with me in Denver, where fat, fluffy flakes are falling from the sky; where there are fluffy kitties all warm and sleepy; where the cinnamon coffee is brewing, where there’s nothing to do but cuddle up under warm blankets.

Happy Holidays!

Did you know that adding an image of a penis to 2 dimensional images makes them look 3D?  According to Motorola, it’s totally true!*

*What they actually said was, “That’s no penis! It’s shading!”  But HELLO.

As Space Kitty/Rita would say, I. Just. CAN’T.   There are so. many. places to go with this whole situation that I sprained my brain.

Jason Kottke created a wonderful post of historical news coverage he found after the NY Times joined the 21st Century and decided that paid subscription doesn’t work.  Articles he found include coverage of Custer’s last stand, Lincoln’s assisination, the sinking of the Titanic, and confirmation of Einstein’s theory of relativity.

Holy freakin’ Carp!

NEW YORK (AP) - Rev. Al Sharpton didn’t appear to have much in common with the late Sen. Strom Thurmond.

Thurmond ran for president in 1948 as a segregationist. Sharpton ran for president in 2004 calling for racial equality.

But last week Sharpton learned the two did have a connection after genealogists found he was a descendant of a slave owned by relatives of Thurmond in South Carolina.

*”Carp” is not a typo, it’s a lifestyle choice.
