Fat Girl Clothing Swap

Announcing Colorado’s first ever Fat Girl Clothing Swap! We are collecting plus size clothes and hosting a swap so we can have a day of fat, fashion, and fabulousness.

We’re all giving a new life to our clothes in someone else’s closet and making room for fabulous new cute clothes. All proceeds will be going to FLARE! an organization that fights for the rights of fat people in the United States.

Top reasons for people to participate in The Swap:

  • We will have gift bags with surprises and tons of resources for fat girls for the first 50 shoppers.
  • You will find clothes from all your favorite stores at a tenth of the cost.
  • We have several awesome raffle prizes that will include art, books, and services.
  • You’ll be able to get rid of clothes you don’t wear to make room for fabulous new clothes that you will find at the Swap.
  • All proceeds are going to a wonderful charity that is out there fighting for the rights of fat people in the United States.
  • We will have a make-up station so you can get a beauty make-over with your new clothes.
  • For those interested, we will be taking fashion photographs of shoppers in a new outfit and we will email you the pictures.
  • It is going to be a blast! We’ll have great music, dedicated volunteers who want you to look and feel fabulous, and plenty of cute clothes for any occasion.

Good Matrix Puzzle

Remember those puzzles you did in elementary school where you had to draw a matrix and illiminate possibilities by making x’es within the matrix grid based on clues?

Here’s a great one. (The submission form is broken, if you want the answer email me at kimberly (at) (this domain) (dot) com.)

If you want to get your feet wet, here are some really easy ones.

Ooh.. More here and here.   Apparently they’re called “Logic Grid” puzzles.

Lots o’ Links

I haven’t been posting for the past weeks because there are so many things to post about/link to (I know, that totally makes sense). So I’m just going to start. These links have come from various sources like kottke.org, metafilter, presurfer, etc. (all linked to in my sidebar).

Puppy Bowl II

I haven’t seen any ads for it, but I did find this update on Animal Planet’s website.

They have the photos and bios of the 14 puppy participants, and a sneak peak video of the kitten half time show! With a float!

We are SO getting this on DVD.

Logic Puzzle

I posted this logic puzzle a while back, but I rediscovered it and had to figure it out all over again. (Click on the big blue circle to start)

The rules are:

The mother can’t be without the dad if any of the boys are present.
The father can’t be without the mom if any of the girls are present.
The theif can’t be without the policeman if other family members are present.
Only adults can work the boat.

Enjoy!

Interesting read… I especially like this:

Those of you who know my work at all know about Ender’s Game. I jealously protected the movie rights to Ender’s Game so that it would not be filmed until it could be done right … I’ll tell you this right now: If Ender’s Game can’t be this kind of movie, and this good a movie, then I want it never to be made

So you bloggy readers, if you haven’t seen Serenity, then you must now go. Orson Scott Card commands you.
